Hannah Spearritt Wanted To Quit Dancing On Ice Due To Gruelling Training, Says Report

Hannah Spearritt, former member of the popular music group S Club 7, reportedly contemplated quitting the ITV show Dancing On Ice due to the intense training involved, leaving her in tears. The 42-year-old singer, who has an auto-immune disease, was said to be overwhelmed by the demands of the show, which is set to premiere tonight. Despite her attempts to keep her concerns private, show producers grew concerned when she started missing several rehearsals, fearing that she might withdraw from the competition altogether.

A source close to the show said, ‘Before Christmas, there was a period when Hannah was missing more than one session a week. Losing those hours had a real impact. She found the training much harder than expected, often leading to tears. She confided in her friends about her struggle and expressed her desire to quit. Although she never shared this with ITV, the bosses were worried she might fall too far behind and abandon the show. Fortunately, Hannah has pulled herself together since Christmas and seems to be in a much better place.’

Hannah Spearritt was announced as part of this year’s line-up of celebrities, including Olympic gold medalist Greg Rutherford and comedian Lou Sanders. The training sessions for Dancing On Ice are reportedly more gruelling than what most people realize, which might explain Hannah’s difficulties. However, everyone involved hopes that she can remain committed and showcase everything she has learned so far.

In a previous statement, Hannah described the skating show as having a positive impact on her mental health. She did, however, reveal that she had a close call when she almost injured her dance partner, Andy Buchanan, as her skate came close to his ear by ‘millimeters.’ A spokesperson for Hannah recently commented, ‘Hannah is loving the challenge and feeling fitter. Due to her immune condition, she needs to be cautious, but overall, it has been just what she needed.’

The 14th season of Dancing on Ice will premiere on Sunday, January 14th, airing on ITV1 and ITVX. It is expected to be an exciting competition, despite its grueling nature, with Hannah Spearritt taking on the challenge alongside her fellow celebrities.
