Harkins Theatres to Open Family Entertainment Center in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Harkins Theatres is preparing to open its new family entertainment center, BackLot, at The Shops at Norterra in North Phoenix. The center is set to feature Arizona’s largest sports viewing screens, along with a scratch kitchen and bar, bowling, arcade games, and Krazy Darts.

According to a post on the company’s Facebook page, BackLot will also include patio dining, event space, and more amenities aimed at families and entertainment seekers. Harkins Theatres confirmed to ABC15 that the new concept is aiming for a summer opening, although an official date has yet to be announced.

The facility will boast a full-service restaurant and bar with menu offerings such as burgers, artisanal flatbreads, and various sandwiches. The bar will serve craft cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits, and there will be a dedicated sports viewing area for fans.

Harkins Theatres is currently looking to fill several positions at BackLot, including servers, bartenders, and runners. Interested applicants are encouraged to apply as the company gears up for the grand opening.
