Hbo Harry Potter Live Action Reboot

LOS ANGELES, CA — Ahead of HBO’s live-action reboot of Harry Potter, the franchise is returning in a new format. A shared reality production of Harry Potter will be made available at Cosm‘s venues in Los Angeles and Dallas, with additional locations slated to open in Detroit and Atlanta by 2026.

On Monday, Variety reported that the shared reality experience will feature Cosm’s innovative 87-foot LED dome theaters, utilizing cutting-edge full-dome filmmaking technology. This creates an immersive experience for audiences, and it marks the third adaptation to receive this treatment, following productions of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

As excitement builds for the upcoming HBO series, former Harry Potter star Rupert Grint shared his thoughts about the new adaptation. He recently expressed support for the new Harry Potter actor, Dominic McLaughlin, revealing that he wrote a letter to him through his contacts. Grint mentioned, “I wouldn’t say that anyone who is going to play Harry has to [reach out]. I know a few people who are working on the production, so I wrote to Dominic and sent him a very sweet note back.”

The upcoming Audible series featuring Harry Potter has sparked additional anticipation among fans. It promises to fill the gap while they await the HBO adaptation, granting them a fresh perspective on the beloved Wizarding World.
