Harry Styles was set to star in the 2024 remake of the classic horror film Nosferatu, but scheduling conflicts forced him to drop out, director Robert Eggers revealed. The Grammy-winning singer was slated to play Thomas Hutter, a lead role that eventually went to Nicholas Hoult. The film, which premiered in December 2024, has since grossed $58 million and earned critical acclaim with an 85% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

In a 2022 interview, Eggers shared that the project had been in development since 2015 and faced multiple setbacks.
