The Gilded Age Hbo Series Trailer

NEW YORK, NY — HBO‘s popular series ‘The Gilded Age‘ is set to return for its third season on June 22. This season marks the rise of Bertha Russell, played by Carrie Coon, as she seeks the approval of New York’s elite.

According to the show’s official logline, ‘Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society.’ Bertha’s ambitions may elevate her family, while her husband, George Russell, risks everything on a revolutionary railroad venture that could lead to both prosperity and ruin.

Across the street, family dynamics shift as Agnes Brook, portrayed by Christine Baranski, struggles to accept Ada’s new role as the lady of the house. Meanwhile, the character Peggy, played by Denée Benton, encounters romantic interest from a handsome doctor whose Newport family is skeptical of her career.

‘The Gilded Age’ is created by Julian Fellowes, well-known for ‘Downton Abbey.’ The ensemble cast also features Cynthia Nixon, Morgan Spector, and others. Fellowes serves as the writer and executive producer alongside Gareth Neame and Bob Greenblatt.

The series is a collaboration between HBO and Universal Television. Fans can look forward to new tensions and developments in the lives of the characters as they navigate ambition and societal change.
