Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition Upgrade Unlisted on Steam

San Francisco, CA — Players of Helldivers 2 have noted that the Super Citizen Edition upgrade has been removed from Steam, leading to speculation about a potential new edition. The change sparked excitement among fans, especially with May 8 being highlighted as a possible date for the upcoming Premium Warbond reveal.
Helldivers 2, which launched in February 2024, has already gained significant traction with nearly 500,000 concurrent players during its launch month. Although the game’s player count has decreased over the past year, a dedicated community continues to support its ongoing operations by actively participating in missions.
The upgrade’s removal was first reported by Reddit user fred364f, who indicated that it was taken down at the request of the publisher, PlayStation. The official Steam page confirms that the upgrade will no longer show up in searches, but the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition bundle is still available. This bundle is priced at $59.99 and contains content equivalent to the unlisted upgrade, including the Steeled Veterans Premium Warbond.
Many players expressed confusion over the unlisting. Notably, the entry for the Super Citizen Edition upgrade was updated in SteamDB on May 6, further igniting speculation about future content. Some fans hypothesize that a new version of the Super Citizen Edition might be on the horizon, potentially linked to an upcoming event celebrating the Meridian Singularity.
This event will take place at Free Springs on the planet Widows Harbor, allowing players to reunite for in-game activities. However, Arrowhead Game Studios has not officially confirmed any new editions for the title as of yet.
As anticipation builds for the next Premium Warbond release, Helldivers 2 players can expect new armor pieces, equipment, and unlockable Stratagems, setting a thrilling tone for the summer gameplay.
