My Hero Academia Final Fanbook

Tokyo, Japan — Fans of My Hero Academia have been processing the end of the beloved manga for nearly a year. Creator Kōhei Horikoshi eased their pain with the release of the final fanbook, which has provided cherished insights into the series. With this release, fans officially mark the end of My Hero Academia.

The fanbook delves into character development, including details on side characters, and offers what many fans view as a fitting conclusion to a decade-long saga. Although the fanbook provided much to celebrate, some fans were left questioning Deku‘s character arc, particularly regarding a promise made early in the series.

Many supporters anticipated Deku to emerge as the Number One Hero. However, Horikoshi clarified that Deku’s primary ambition was never about achieving that specific title; instead, he aimed to be a hero who could bring smiles while saving others.

Despite declaring this “the story of how I became the greatest hero,” Deku ended the manga without the title of Number One Hero, sparking a mixed reaction among fans. Though he earns a legendary status, Horikoshi affirmed that All Might remains held in the highest regard as “the Greatest Hero of All Time,” owing to his history and impact.

The series wrapped up in 2024, concluding 430 chapters of content available on platforms like Manga Plus and former serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump. Additionally, an anime adaptation is yet to finish its final season, with episodes available on Crunchyroll.

Fans can look forward to further content, including the upcoming artbook releasing on June 4, which promises vibrant illustrations and a deeper look into character evolutions since the time skip at the series’ conclusion.
