Palo Alto, Calif. — Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced significant expansions to its HPE Aruba Networking Central product, adding new deployment options designed to enhance data security and regulatory compliance. The new offerings include a virtual private cloud (VPC) environment and an on-premises solution, enabling businesses and government entities to choose configurations that best suit their operational needs.

This expansion gives HPE Aruba Networking Central the most comprehensive advanced network management capabilities in the industry, allowing customers the flexibility to choose from four deployment options: cloud-delivered SaaS, VPC, on-premises, or network as a service (NaaS). With these innovations, HPE is uniquely positioned to address the growing enterprise demand for stringent data governance and compliance in light of regulatory standards like GDPR and FINRA.

“Organizations are increasingly prioritizing data sovereignty, requiring regional and local presence for mission-critical IT solutions,” said Phil Mottram, executive vice president and general manager of HPE Aruba Networking. “With these innovations, HPE now uniquely addresses the most pressing enterprise challenges for corporate, nonprofit, and government entities with unprecedented network management deployment flexibility.”

The newly introduced On-Premises option for Government includes FIPS 140-2 certified server hardware to meet stringent governmental security requirements, providing enterprises with more control for emerging applications needing secure environments for AI data capture and training. Coupled with the global reach of HPE GreenLake cloud, the new deployments enhance local operational efficiency across diverse geographies.

Additional features include an always-on, AI-powered automated network assistant that optimizes operations through continuous monitoring and identifies performance issues proactively. HPE noted an extensive data lake telemetry capability, currently managing over 5.2 million connected devices and supporting more than 2 billion network devices, indicative of a significant growth trajectory in network management solutions.

The expanded full-stack network observability features also allow for enhanced integration with third-party devices, including networks from Cisco, Arista, and Juniper Networks. A new one-year subscription for the OpsRamp Extension license will provide added monitoring capabilities, ensuring that organizations can maintain robust oversight of their entire network ecosystem.

To further enhance user experience, HPE Aruba Networking Central now includes improved integration with applications like Microsoft Teams, which significantly optimizes the quality of voice and video calls through high-fidelity data correlation.

Since its launch in 2014, HPE Aruba Networking Central has been instrumental in streamlining the deployment and management of networks across wired, wireless, LAN, WAN, and IoT environments. Clients such as Nobu Hotels and the Netherlands’ Royal Jaarbeurs have harnessed the platform’s flexible deployment options to drive operational efficiencies.

“By enhancing the capabilities of HPE Aruba Networking Central, HPE is addressing diverse customer needs with both private cloud and on-prem options, thereby creating a stronger market position,” said Ray Sharma, an Industry Analyst and Editor at The Fast Mode. He further emphasized the importance of deployment flexibility in contemporary network management environments.

HPE Aruba Networking Central is available under an annual subscription model with a two-tier licensing approach (Foundation and Advanced) through various HPE channel partners, ensuring that both enterprise and government customers have access to the latest in network management technology.
