Hollywood Squares Game Show Cbs Season 2

LOS ANGELES, CACBS announced that the game show Hollywood Squares will return for a second season in 2025, continuing its legacy as a popular staple of live television. This decision comes as part of CBS’s broad lineup, featuring nine renewed series for the 2025-2026 broadcast season.

The revival of Hollywood Squares began in January 2025, marking its return after two previous iterations, first airing in 1966 and then again in 1998. Season 1 of the show was a notable success, attracting an estimated 5.4 million viewers per episode in live broadcasts, plus additional viewers from multi-platform access within 35 days.

Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, expressed enthusiasm for the show’s renewal. “This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers,” Reisenbach said in a press release. “These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites.”

The Emmy Award-winning series hosts a panel of celebrities who assist contestants in a tic-tac-toe format to win cash and prizes. Recurring celebrity guests include well-known figures from various entertainment sectors. The show features a secret square in each episode, offering contestants the chance to win additional prizes, typically a trip.

Names of the upcoming celebrities and returning host, a former football player who served as the center square in Season 1, have not been publicly announced yet. Updates regarding specific air dates for Season 2 have yet to be confirmed, but given that Season 1 debuted in January 2025, expectations are set for a similar timeline for the upcoming season.

Viewers are encouraged to stay tuned for further announcements regarding Hollywood Squares‘ air dates and to continue watching the series, which airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
