J Hope Performing On Stage With Miguel

SEOUL, South KoreaJ-Hope‘s latest single, “Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel),” has topped this week’s Billboard music poll, garnering an impressive 77% of the vote from music fans. The poll closed on March 7, just days before the song’s official release and J-Hope’s highly anticipated solo performance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” scheduled for March 10.

Despite fierce competition from notable releases by artists like JENNIE, Lady Gaga, and Dolly Parton, J-Hope’s heartfelt pop and R&B track led the voting. “Sweet Dreams,” which dropped on March 7, expresses themes of love and longing, boosted by the smooth vocals of Grammy-winning artist Miguel.

J-Hope, whose real name is Jung Ho-seok, has been generating buzz as he embarks on his “Hope on the Stage” tour. The tour began in Seoul at the end of February and is set to continue in Brooklyn and other major U.S. cities, concluding in Osaka on June 1. “We are thrilled to see such strong excitement from our readers for J-Hope’s new music,” said a representative from Billboard.

In addition to the poll’s popularity, J-Hope’s engagement with fans has extended onto social media. He offered an exclusive sneak peek of “Sweet Dreams” on TikTok, sharing a 19-second clip that captivated audiences just after the tour kick-off. His TikTok account has seen a fantastic engagement, amassing 9.67 million followers, reflecting his global influence.

As J-Hope prepares to perform live, the anticipation surrounding the song’s full release on streaming platforms remains high. The full track will officially be available from 2 p.m. on March 7, with fans eager to add it to their music libraries.

“It’s significant that J-Hope is not only actively engaging with the TikTok community but also choosing to prerelease his new song exclusively here,” said Park Ju-young, manager of Artist and Label Partnerships at TikTok Korea. The track features contributions from producer Johnny Goldstein and songwriters Sam Martin and Sean Douglas.

After his military service, this single marks J-Hope’s first major release since his special album, “Hope on the Street,” dropped in March 2024. The single is expected to be a reflection of his artistic growth, further establishing his presence as a solo artist.

In the poll results, JENNIE’s anticipated album “Ruby” received 12% of the votes, while Lady Gaga’s “Mayhem” followed with 7%. As J-Hope continues his journey as a solo artist, he captivates audiences worldwide with his innovative sound.
