Houston’s 75th Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade: Route, Road Closures, and Livestream Details
Houston is gearing up for its 75th annual Thanksgiving Day parade, a beloved tradition that will take place on November 28, 2024. The parade is set to begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to conclude by 11 a.m.
The event will start at the intersection of Smith Street and Lamar Street in Downtown Houston and will traverse more than 20 blocks before ending at Smith and Dallas Streets. This year’s parade promises to be a spectacular event, celebrating 75 years of holiday cheer and community spirit.
Preparations for the parade have been underway since Tuesday, with road closures in effect to accommodate the staging of parade floats. The Mayor's Office has released a detailed map of the parade route and the associated road closures to help attendees and residents plan their day. Key roads affected include Travis Street, Jefferson Street, Capitol Street, Rusk Street, and several others in the Downtown area.
