American Idol Performance Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. — John Foster, an 18-year-old college student from Addis, took to the American Idol stage on Sunday night to perform a heartfelt original song dedicated to his late friend, Maggie Dunn. The tragedy struck when Dunn was killed by a police officer who ran a red light during a high-speed chase, colliding with her vehicle.

Foster’s performance of “Tell That Angel I Love Her” during the show’s round of 20 was a poignant tribute, showcasing his emotions and talent. “This song is about remembering the ones we love and never forgetting them,” Foster said during a pre-performance segment. “Maggie inspired me every day, and I wanted to carry her spirit with me on stage.”

The voting process for the American Idol contestants opened immediately following the broadcast and will remain available until the start of the Monday night show, allowing fans to support their favorite performers through the official voting platform.
