India Hands Debut Caps To Sarfaraz Khan And Dhruv Jurel For Rajkot Test Against England

India has granted Test debut caps to Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel for the ongoing test series against England. Replacing KS Bharat and Shreyas Iyer, they join the squad in hope of securing a lead in the series.

Khan and Jurel have previously represented India at the U-19 level, with experiences from ICC Men's U19 World Cup events. Jurel featured alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal during the 2020 World Cup, showcasing their skills.

Winning the toss, Virat Kohli chose to bat in the match held at Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium. The pitch suggests a favorable batting environment with potential challenges for spinners.

The return of Ravindra Jadeja strengthens the Indian squad, with Mohammed Siraj coming in for Mukesh Kumar. Axar Patel has been left out of the XI, unfortunate not to feature despite his recent form.

India’s Playing XI includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, among others. England has Zak Crawley, Ben Stokes, James Anderson, and others in their lineup.
