Alfred Collins Injury 49ers Texans

Santa Clara, California — The San Francisco 49ers faced another setback during their game against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Defensive end Nick Bosa and linebacker Fred Warner, both key players, are already sidelined for the season due to injuries.

Rookie defensive lineman Alfred Collins added to the list of injured players when he went down while attempting to stop Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. Collins remained on the field after the play, appearing to favor his right arm as he was escorted to the medical tent.

If Collins is unable to continue, the 49ers’ defense will rely on Jordan Elliott, Kalia Davis, and Kevin Givens to fill the gaps in their defensive line. C.J. West is also unavailable due to injury, leaving the team with few options.

Despite these challenges, the team may consider shifting first-round draft pick Mykel Williams from the edge to the interior if necessary. However, a later update confirmed that Collins returned to the game for the 49ers’ next drive, alleviating some immediate concerns.
