Interflora and Menulog Launch Emergency Rose Delivery Service for Last-Minute Valentine’s Day Shoppers in Sydney
Interflora and Menulog have joined forces to introduce a unique emergency rose delivery service for procrastinating Valentine’s Day shoppers in Sydney.
A study commissioned by Menulog revealed that half of romantics in New South Wales (NSW) only start thinking about Valentine’s Day a week before the occasion, causing many to panic as they attempt to buy flowers on-the-go.
More than 40% of individuals confessed to procrastinating until their journey back home from work to purchase flowers, highlighting the last-minute nature of Valentine’s Day preparations.
According to the survey, 60% of respondents in NSW consider presenting flowers on Valentine’s Day as a traditional and non-negotiable practice.
To assist those in need of a last-minute Valentine’s Day gift, Menulog and Interflora have launched an emergency rose delivery service in Sydney.
This service is expected to dispatch hundreds of orange roses to romantic individuals across the city via dedicated “emergency” vehicles, providing a lifeline for those who may have forgotten to secure a gift for their loved ones amidst the Valentine’s Day rush.
Gerry Gerrard, CEO of Interflora, expressed excitement about the partnership with Menulog, marking a significant milestone in the company’s nearly 70-year presence in Australia.
Gerrard stated, “In the spirit of love, this Valentine’s Day, we’re introducing a unique rose delivery service in collaboration with Menulog, aiming to enhance accessibility for Australians and their flower deliveries.”
The emergency rose delivery service will be available at Wynyard Park from 12pm to 2pm and Manly Wharf during the evening rush from 4pm to 6pm, allowing customers to pick up a free emergency Valentine’s Day rose.
