LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Rapper Kid Cudi‘s Los Angeles-area home became the scene of an unusual burglary Wednesday when an intruder not only broke in but also helped himself to food, used the bathroom, and took a shower, according to law enforcement sources.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when the shirtless man was spotted on the rapper’s security system casually lingering in the kitchen. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded swiftly, apprehending the suspect on-site. The intruder, believed to be homeless, was charged with felony burglary and theft of utilities and is being held on $150,000 bail.

“The suspect was caught red-handed after eating a meal, using the bathroom, and showering,” a law enforcement source told TMZ. The extent of the burglary and any potential theft of valuables remains unclear.

Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, has not publicly commented on the incident. The 40-year-old artist, known for hits like “Day 'N' Nite” and collaborations with David Guetta, has 21.4 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

This incident comes amid a wave of opportunistic crimes in Los Angeles following recent wildfires that displaced thousands of residents. The L.A. District Attorney's Office reported that 50 wildfire-related arrests have been made, with nine individuals formally charged.

Last week, Kid Cudi shared an emotional message on Instagram after evacuating his home due to the wildfires. “Hey guys, had to evacuate my crib. I’m safe, with loved ones, dogs are safe,” he wrote. “For all the folks who lost their homes, people that are dealing with this, my heart hurts for you.”

Authorities have warned residents to remain vigilant as the region continues to grapple with the aftermath of the wildfires and related criminal activity.
