“Invincible” Season 3: Mark Grayson Faces New Threats in 2025
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Prime Video‘s hit animated series “Invincible” returns for its third season on Feb. 6, 2025, promising more high-stakes action and deeper dives into the lore of the Image Comics series. The new season will premiere with a three-episode drop, followed by weekly releases leading to the finale on March 13.
Based on the comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, “Invincible” follows teenager Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun) as he navigates the challenges of becoming a superhero while grappling with the dark legacy of his Viltrumite father, Omni-Man (J.K. Simmons). Season 3 picks up with Mark donning his iconic blue-and-black costume, signaling a shift in his character as he faces new threats and personal struggles.
Key plotlines include Mark’s rigorous training under Cecil Stedman (Walton Goggins), Omni-Man and Allen the Alien‘s (Seth Rogen) escape plan from Viltrumite prison, and the emergence of Mark’s younger brother, Oliver (Christian Convery), as the fledgling superhero Kid Omni-Man. The season also introduces new characters, including Powerplex (Aaron Paul) and Dinosaurus, while teasing the arrival of major villains like Conquest and Grand Regent Thragg.
“We can be the good guys, or we can be the guys who save the world. We can’t be both,” warns Cecil in the official trailer, hinting at the moral dilemmas Mark will face. The Mauler Twins, Reanimen, and other familiar foes return, alongside new challenges that push Mark to his limits.
The voice cast includes returning stars Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve, Sandra Oh as Debbie Grayson, and Zazie Beetz as Amber Bennett, with newcomers Jonathan Banks and Doug Bradley joining in undisclosed roles. Fans speculate Banks may portray Conquest, a ruthless Viltrumite warrior, while Bradley could voice Dinosaurus or Grand Regent Thragg.
Season 3 continues to adapt the comic series, with co-showrunner Simon Racioppa and executive producers Robert Kirkman, Seth Rogen, and others steering the narrative. Composer John Paesano returns to score the series, maintaining the show’s signature intensity.
With its blend of high-octane action, emotional depth, and complex character dynamics, “Invincible” Season 3 is poised to deliver another thrilling chapter in Mark Grayson’s journey.
