Jaafar Jackson Channels Michael In First Look Photo For Biopic

The highly anticipated biopic portraying the life of legendary pop icon Michael Jackson is currently underway, with a striking first-look image revealing Jaafar Jackson’s stunning transformation into his late uncle.

In the released photo, Jaafar, 27, mirrors Michael’s iconic style from the 1990s, clad in a white button-up shirt over a V-neck tee and black trousers, his hair stylishly tied back just like the King of Pop while delivering a captivating performance on stage.

Producer Graham King praised Jaafar for his portrayal, stating, ‘With Jaafar, every look, every note, every dance move is Michael. He embodies Michael in a way that no other actor could.’ This sentiment was echoed by director Antoine Fuqua, who commended Jaafar for seamlessly embodying Michael’s spirit in a mesmerizing manner.

The captivating first-look image was captured by renowned photographer Kevin Mazur, known for documenting Michael’s final rehearsal, now the first to capture Jaafar impeccably portraying the musical icon.

In January 2023, it was announced that a biographical film chronicling the life of the ‘Thriller’ singer is in production, with a screenplay penned by John Logan. Jaafar, the son of Michael’s older brother, Jermaine Jackson, stepping into the lead role has drawn widespread excitement and anticipation for the film.

Jafaar will star alongside several other notable actors in the biopic, including Colman Domingo, Nia Long, and Miles Teller, all set to contribute to the immersive storytelling of Michael’s extraordinary life on the big screen.
