Jack Reacher Season 4 is Coming Soon to Prime Video

LOS ANGELES, CA — Prime Video has announced that the popular series “Reacher” will return for a fourth season, following the success of its third season which aired earlier this year. The third season, based on Lee Child‘s seventh novel “Persuader,” garnered 54.6 million viewers globally within its first 19 days on the platform.

Fans were left eagerly anticipating the next installment as the third season was noted for its thrilling action and engaging storyline. The season featured Reacher, played by Alan Ritchson, taking on formidable foes, including Paulie, a character portrayed by Olivier Richters.

Despite mixed reviews for the second season, commentators have praised season three as a return to form. Ritchson has expressed excitement about the possibility of adapting “Die Trying,” the second book in the Jack Reacher series, for the upcoming season.

“I do think stories like ‘Die Trying,’ where he’s reluctantly drawn into the situation, are more true to Reacher’s character,” Ritchson said in an interview. “It’s thick with attributes that would translate well to screen.” The plot of “Die Trying” involves Reacher being taken hostage in Chicago and subsequently facing a dangerous militia.

While the details surrounding the fourth season’s plot remain unconfirmed, showrunner Nick Santora has hinted at the abundance of material available, with a total of 29 Jack Reacher novels to draw inspiration from. As for casting, it’s likely fans will see familiar faces, such as Maria Sten, reprising her role as Frances Neagley.

Filming for the next season is expected to start after the production of a spin-off series centered on Neagley wraps up. The Neagley spin-off began filming in Toronto in February 2025 and is set to conclude around June 2025, delaying the production timeline for “Reacher” Season 4.

Lee Child has confirmed that a script for the new season is ready, and shooting could commence shortly after the Neagley series is completed. “It’s written and ready to go. It’s going to start shooting in the summer,” Child said. As fans look forward to more Jack Reacher adventures, the anticipated premiere date for the new season is expected sometime in 2026.
