James Kennedy Djing Power Slap 12 Event

LAS VEGAS — James Kennedy, a former star of Bravo‘s “Vanderpump Rules,” issued an apology on Saturday after found mingling with controversial figures Andrew and Tristan Tate during the Power Slap 12 event at the Fontainebleau’s Cobalt Ballroom on Friday. Kennedy, 31, was photographed enjoying the event and ordering drinks from the VIP bar, where the Tates, embroiled in legal troubles, were also present.

The Tate brothers, aged 36 and 38, are facing multiple investigations related to sexual assault and human trafficking. They have denied all allegations. Kennedy felt compelled to address his association with the Tates shortly after the event.

“I regret posting a photo with the Tate brothers at an event last night,” Kennedy wrote on his Instagram Story. “I was unfamiliar with their content and the allegations against them. I only knew them as podcasters who had posted a viral clip about Vanderpump. I have since educated myself and condemn their beliefs. I am sorry to all that I offended,” he added.

Later that night, Kennedy performed at the nearby LIV Nightclub as part of his residency, showcasing his talents as a DJ.

Meanwhile, in the wake of his split from ex-girlfriend Ally Lewber in January, Kennedy has faced public scrutiny. Lewber, 29, moved out of Kennedy’s former residence, a $1.35 million three-bedroom home in Burbank. Their breakup followed an incident on December 10, where Kennedy was accused of lifting Lewber and throwing her to the ground during a discussion about sobriety; however, the Burbank City Attorney’s Office did not pursue misdemeanor domestic violence charges after she stated she was not hurt.

“[My cat] Bodhi really loves his new dog-free home,” Lewber wrote via Instagram. “He was always so scared around Hippie and would hide a lot so it is nice to see him back to his happy self,” referencing her recent transition and the former couple’s pet.

Kennedy has publicly acknowledged the need for personal growth, stating on December 17, “I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life. I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones. Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”

A product of the entertainment industry, Kennedy first gained public recognition in 2014 while working as a busboy at Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurant, SUR, during the second season of the Emmy-nominated spinoff series “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” He has since transitioned into a successful DJ, hosting sets at various venues.

Following recent news, Bravo announced plans to reboot “Vanderpump Rules” with an entirely new cast for its twelfth season, while also airing a retrospective special celebrating the series’ previous eleven seasons.

Looking ahead, Kennedy is scheduled to perform at the nightclub Soundcheck in Washington, D.C., on March 29, as he continues his music career.
