James Wilkie Broderick Graduation

Providence, RI – James Wilkie Broderick, son of actors Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, celebrated his graduation from Brown University this week. The moment was marked by multiple photos shared on Instagram, showcasing his journey during the significant occasion.

In one snapshot, the 22-year-old wore his black graduation gown with a brown stole over a blue suit and tie, paired with stylish white sneakers. He proudly displayed his graduation cap while surrounded by his 15-year-old twin sisters, Tabitha and Marion, who wore matching green outfits. This rare display of the siblings came soon after the graduation ceremony.

HBO producer Liviya Kraemer, who collaborated with Parker on the series “Divorce,” also celebrated James’ achievement with a post on her Instagram Story. Kraemer wrote, “Extra special congratulations to @jwbr0derick!!!!!!!!! Now let’s do this every five years.”

James is following in his parents’ footsteps as an aspiring actor, showcasing his talents in recent projects. Despite their parents’ fame, the family has kept their children out of the public eye for the most part, though they have made several appearances together during special events.

This graduation marks a significant milestone for the Broderick family, who tend to maintain a low profile regarding their children’s lives. Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker, who have been married since 1997, have shared their support for their children’s independence and determination to carve out their own paths.

Parker emphasized the importance of having choices, explaining, “You want for them to be pursuing things that are exciting and challenging.” They hope to instill a sense of responsibility and self-sufficiency in their children, encouraging them to find careers that fulfill them.

As for James, he has gained some acting experience, recently appearing in an episode of CBS’ anthology series “Elsbeth” alongside his father. Additionally, he participated in the Apple TV+ miniseries “Lady in the Lake.” His parents support him in acting, guiding him through auditions and offering advice when needed.

The Brodericks’ twins, who are still young, have shown varying interests, with one sister expressing disinterest in acting while the other remains ambiguous about her aspirations. For now, the focus is on celebrating James’ accomplishments and supporting each other’s dreams.
