Jaqueline Cristian Leads Romanian Women in Latest WTA Rankings

București, România – Jaqueline Cristian remains the highest-ranked Romanian player in the WTA rankings, having climbed one position to 47th with 1,226 points.
Sorana Cîrstea also made significant progress, rising seven spots to rank 51st with 1,155 points. Gabriela Ruse is the third Romanian in the Top 100, moving up one place to rank 99th with 746 points.
Anca Todoni climbed two spots to reach 118th place with 646 points, while Irina Begu fell two positions to 123rd with 634 points. Belarusian player Arina Sabalenka continues to dominate the rankings with 10,400 points, followed by Poland’s Iga Swiatek in second with 8,768 points.
Coco Gauff from the United States, the recent Wuhan champion, rounds out the top three at 7,873 points. The top five is further completed by American Amanda Anisimova, ranked fourth with 5,924 points, and Jessica Pegula, who is fifth with 5,183 points after finishing second in Wuhan.
In doubles, Sorana Cîrstea also leads the Romanian women, although she dropped one spot to 54th with 1,514 points.
