Jason Aldean Concert Remarks

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Country music artist Jason Aldean sparked controversy during a concert on September 26 by stating he would finance bus trips for people who refuse to follow the ‘rules’ of living in the United States.

In a passionate address to fans, Aldean said, ‘So it’s pretty simple, man, if you want to live in this country, just play by the rules. Be good people, respect everybody, love everybody, and if you don’t want to do that, I’ll buy you a bus ticket and you can get the f*** out and go wherever you want!’

His comments came as he expressed anger over the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, whom he referred to as ‘one of the best people ever.’ Aldean lamented, ‘It’s a sad day in the country when a guy gets murdered for being a Christian conservative, out there talkin’ about the Bible and what’s right and what’s wrong.’

Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, had garnered both admiration and criticism for his advocacy of conservative values and his outspoken Christian faith. Supporters praised his work on college campuses, while detractors accused him of promoting racist and bigoted ideologies.

Aldean’s remarks linked to his recent song ‘Try That In A Small Town,’ which faced backlash for perceived racial undertones. Aldean clarified that he was unaware of the historical significance of the music video location, where a Black teenager was lynched in 1927, and noted that it would be hard to find any southern location without some racial history.
