Jay Cutler Shows Gratitude for Kids Amid Co-Parenting Challenges

Nashville, Tennessee — Jay Cutler spoke candidly about co-parenting with ex-wife Kristin Cavallari, admitting their three children help maintain a harmonious relationship between the two. In an interview published Tuesday, Cutler, 42, reflected on their dynamic post-divorce, stating, “The kids kind of do it. We’ve got our schedule and it works for us.”
Cutler and Cavallari, 38, share three children: Camden, 12, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9. The couple was previously married for 10 years before their separation in April 2020. At the time, they released a joint statement expressing their mutual love and respect while noting, “This is just the situation of two people growing apart.” Their divorce was finalized two months later.
Cavallari discussed the difficulties of co-parenting in a December interview, saying, “[It’s] really hard. It has not been easy, to say the least.” She criticized their inconsistent approach, indicating that the relationship remains complex.
Despite the challenges, there have been moments of connection. Cavallari recalled attending a basketball game together, saying, “Holy f–k, this is the best thing that’s ever happened. Jesus Christ, we made it. We can sit next to each other,” although she admitted that they haven’t shared similar experiences since.
Reflecting on family gatherings, Cavallari expressed disappointment about not spending holidays together as a family. “Coming from divorced parents, the last thing I ever wanted was a divorce. It just sucks that we’re not together as a family,” she shared.
While Cutler has reportedly moved on with a new partner, Cavallari described the ongoing complexities of their co-parenting journey. “When you start now messing with my kids — I’m not doing it,” she emphasized, highlighting her commitment to their well-being.
