Jeannie Mai, Jeezy Clash Over Belongings in Post-Divorce Dispute

ATLANTA, Ga. — Television personality Jeannie Mai and rapper Jeezy (real name Jay Jenkins) are embroiled in a heated post-divorce dispute over personal belongings, with police intervention required during a recent attempt to retrieve her items from his Georgia home, court documents reveal.

According to filings obtained by In Touch Weekly, Mai, 46, arrived at Jeezy’s residence on December 9, 2024, to collect her belongings, which included awards, photos, and personal effects. However, she was denied entry by Jeezy’s house manager, prompting her to call the Atlanta Police Department. The incident marks the latest chapter in the contentious split between the former couple, who finalized their divorce in June 2024.

Jeezy’s legal team claimed the rapper, 47, had packed Mai’s belongings into boxes and stored them in his garage. While he was “perfectly fine” with her retrieving the items, his lawyer expressed concerns about Mai’s presence in his home, citing fears of privacy invasion and potential sabotage. “[Jeannie] is angry about the parties’ divorce and she is revengeful,” Jeezy’s lawyer stated. “[Her presence] would absolutely destroy [Jeezy’s] peace and tranquility.”

Mai’s legal team countered these allegations, asserting that she had no intention of invading Jeezy’s privacy or planting recording devices. Her lawyers emphasized that she simply sought to collect her belongings, as permitted by a court order. Upon arrival, Mai claimed Jeezy’s house manager refused her access to the garage, despite prior confirmation. Police were called to document the alleged violation of the court order.

Further complications arose when Jeezy’s team demanded that Mai and her movers sign a nondisclosure agreement before entering the garage—a requirement not stipulated in the court order. When Mai finally gained access, she discovered her belongings in disarray. “The boxes were wet, with water having soaked through, damaging personal items,” her lawyer noted. “Mouse traps set in the garage had ruined some contents, and many of [Jeannie’s] awards were broken and scratched.”

Mai denied being vengeful, accusing Jeezy of contempt for failing to comply with court orders. “The only party that seems to be angry or revengeful is [Jeezy],” her lawyer wrote. The judge has yet to rule on the ongoing disputes, which include allegations of unpaid expenses related to daycare and rent.

Neither Mai nor Jeezy has publicly commented on the matter. The case highlights the lingering tensions between the former couple, whose divorce has been marked by legal battles and public scrutiny.
