Jeff Goldblum The One Show

Hollywood actor Jeff Goldblum, known for his roles in Jurassic Park and Independence Day, appeared on The One Show alongside co-star Janet McTeer to promote their new Netflix series, Kaos.

During the episode, host Clara Amfo inquired about Goldblum’s role in the upcoming Wicked movie, where he plays The Wizard alongside prominent stars such as Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh, and Jonathan Bailey.

In a light-hearted moment, Goldblum revealed his childhood fear of witches, recalling, “My first dream when I was a kid. I remember a witch tied me to a tree.” This confession elicited laughter from the studio audience.

Vernon Kay, another host on the show, humorously warned viewers as Goldblum continued, “I thought she was going to cut my head off but she said ‘peaches, peaches’ and I was scared about that.”

Goldblum further shared details about his co-stars in Wicked, mentioning that Ariana Grande plays the good witch and her character embarks on a journey of self-discovery.

In another segment, Janet McTeer, who portrays Hera in Kaos, discussed a unique way to keep Goldblum focused while filming. She admitted to singing show tunes to him, revealing, “We had many and we did have a piano on our set and sometimes he would play and everyone would stop.”

Goldblum, while modest about his own tendency to get distracted, praised McTeer’s work ethic, asserting, “Sometimes I would find her so prepared.” Their playful collaboration included spontaneous singing, demonstrating their camaraderie on set.
