Jeff Goldblum Enjoys Family Day at Italian Soccer Match

COMO, Italy — Jeff Goldblum enjoyed a rare family outing on Sunday, April 13, 2025, when he attended a soccer match at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium in Como. The 72-year-old actor, accompanied by his wife, Emilie Goldblum, and their two sons, aged 9 and 8, cheered for the local team Como 1907 as they faced Torino.
Before the game commenced, the family posed for photos, all wearing matching Como jerseys and showcasing smiles that reflected their excitement. Witnesses noted the joy on the boys’ faces as they joined their famous father to experience the thrill of the match firsthand.
During the game, Goldblum and his wife were seen engaged in conversation, enjoying each other’s company as Como secured a 1-0 victory. Although the actor has kept his family life largely private, this outing offered fans a glimpse into his personal world.
Goldblum and Emilie, a former Canadian Olympic rhythmic gymnast and dancer, married in a small ceremony in Los Angeles in November 2014. They welcomed Charlie, their first child, in July 2015, followed by their second son, River, in April 2017.
Fatherhood came to Goldblum later in life, which he has described as transformative. In a previous interview with The Independent, he expressed, “It’s amazing. Every emotion comes up, and you are forced to examine everything that you model and could be better at. It’s a great task and opportunity.”
The actor has also been vocal about instilling values of independence and hard work in his sons. In a recent episode of the iHeartPodcast Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, he stressed the importance of teaching kids to support themselves. “Hey, you know, you’ve got to row your own boat,” Goldblum said. “I’m not going to do it for you. And you’re not going to want me to do it for you.”
Goldblum encourages Charlie and River to explore their passions while considering the needs of the world around them. “You’ve got to figure out how to find out what’s wanted and needed and where that intersects with your love and passion and what you can do,” he explained. “And even if it doesn’t, you might have to do that anyway.”
Reflecting on fatherhood during a 2022 interview with Hoda Kotb on Today, Goldblum described the experience as both challenging and rewarding. “It’s amazing,” he noted. “It’s revivifying and has enhanced my relationship with my wife. And it’s challenging, and it’s sometimes maddening and very volatile. As you know, at 3 and 5, 5 and 7, they can be like feral creatures unleashed. Oh yeah, and sweet and amazing. It’s great.”
