Jeff Goldblum Wicked Movie

LOS ANGELES, CA — Hollywood veteran Jeff Goldblum, 73, has announced he will stop eating meat after starring as the Wizard in the upcoming fantasy film Wicked: For Good, which hits theaters on Nov. 21.

In an appearance on a U.K. talk show, Goldblum shared his reasons for the dietary change. “You know, after doing this movie, we talked about the animal cruelty, I stopped eating meat and poultry,” he said.

Goldblum’s character in Wicked is portrayed as a villain who “instigates and facilitates animal cruelty.” This depiction resonated with him deeply and played a key role in his decision to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle.

“I’m happy. We need the world to work for everybody on Earth and every creature, too,” he added, hinting at alternative holiday meals this year.

As a well-known actor, Goldblum’s transition to vegetarianism may influence others considering similar dietary changes. He commented on the importance of making such choices for ethical reasons.

Goldblum is not the only cast member promoting plant-based diets. Grammy-winning singer Ariana Grande and Emmy-winning actress Cynthia Erivo, who star alongside him, are both vegan.

During a recent podcast interview, Erivo emphasized the growing range of vegan food options available today. “There’s so many ways to enjoy food without meat,” she said, highlighting the rise of alternatives.

Anyone interested in switching to a vegan or vegetarian diet should consider gradual changes, thorough research, and a focus on whole foods to ensure a balanced intake of essential nutrients.

Goldblum’s story has sparked conversations about how personal experiences with film can lead to changes in lifestyle and dietary choices.
