Jeff Goldblum Goes Vegetarian After ‘Wicked: For Good’ Film Experience
London, England — Jeff Goldblum has announced a significant lifestyle change following his role in the upcoming film “Wicked: For Good.” The 73-year-old actor, who reprises his role as the Wizard of Oz, shared that working on the movie inspired him to adopt a vegetarian diet. Goldblum revealed this change during an interview on the U.K. morning show “This Morning.”
“It changed me,” Goldblum stated, discussing the film’s themes surrounding animal cruelty. “After doing this movie, we talked about the animal cruelty, I stopped eating meat and poultry. So this Christmas and Thanksgiving, I may be having something else.” His remarks highlight how the production process has influenced his personal beliefs and choices.
The film “Wicked” and its sequel focus on important themes, including empathy, friendship, acceptance, and the treatment of animals. Goldblum expressed that these messages led him to reconsider his dietary habits. “We need the world to work for everybody on Earth and every creature, too,” he emphasized.
Goldblum is not the only cast member who follows a plant-based diet; co-stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande do as well. Erivo, who turned vegan 13 years ago, has shared that her body feels better without animal products. Grande has also been an outspoken advocate for animal rights, stating her love for animals drives her dietary choices.
As for holiday meals, Goldblum can consider various vegetarian options to replace traditional roasts. The shift in his eating pattern reflects a growing trend among actors where their roles influence their personal diets and lifestyles. With “Wicked: For Good” set to be released on November 21, Goldblum’s transformation has already become a topic of interest.
