Jennifer Tilly Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Interview

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Jennifer Tilly, the Oscar-nominated actress and star of Bravo‘s *The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills*, is setting the record straight about her wealth following revelations about her divorce settlement from *The Simpsons* co-creator Sam Simon.

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Tilly expressed surprise at the public’s fascination with her finances. “I’m astonished,” she said. “I don’t think of myself as rich. But I guess I’m delusional because I do have several properties and a purse apparently that cost $33,000.”

Tilly, 66, clarified that her designer Louis Vuitton boat purse, featured on the show, actually cost $22,000, not $33,000 as previously reported. “They must have had some intern look it up,” she joked. “It’s very rare, maybe on the secondary market they jacked up the price.”

The actress, who joined RHOBH for its 14th season, also addressed her divorce settlement from Simon, whom she married in 1984 and divorced in 1991. Simon, who passed away in 2015, left Tilly with a share of *The Simpsons* residuals. “I thought everybody knew that I had a piece of *The Simpsons*,” she said. “It’s not a large piece, but even a little piece is something to write home about.”

Despite owning four homes—including properties in Las Vegas, Malibu, and Bel-Air—Tilly insists she lives modestly. “My boyfriend and I live very simply in a very small, cluttered house,” she said. “Yes, there’s a giant house next door, but we don’t go there. I guess we’re kind of delusional.”

Tilly’s comments come after she revealed on the Dec. 3 episode of RHOBH that she still receives residuals from *The Simpsons*. “When we got divorced, I got a piece of *The Simpsons* in the divorce settlement,” she explained. “Nobody knew that *The Simpsons* was going to go on for trillions of years! Honestly, every day, I’m like, ‘Thank you, Sam!'”

Outside of her acting career, Tilly is also a professional poker player, having won over $1 million in tournaments as of 2019. She is best known for her roles in *Bound*, *Bullets Over Broadway*, and as Tiffany Valentine in the *Child's Play* franchise.

Reflecting on her RHOBH experience, Tilly acknowledged the show’s appeal. “This is why people love Housewives,” she said. “They’re so rich and they can afford all the plastic surgery that the heart could desire and designer clothes and jewels, but they’re still not happy. That is the key to Housewives.”
