Neilesh Vinjamuri Jeopardy Tournament Of Champions 2025

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Neilesh Vinjamuri, a three-game champion from Lionville, Pennsylvania, delivered a jaw-dropping performance in Game 3 of the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions on January 29, 2025. Vinjamuri answered 33 clues correctly with only one incorrect response, securing his spot in the semifinals and earning widespread praise from fans and viewers.

Vinjamuri faced stiff competition from Weckiai Rannila, a three-game champion from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Greg Jolin, a five-game champion from Raymond, New Hampshire. Despite the formidable opponents, Vinjamuri dominated the buzzer, showcasing his speed and vast knowledge. His performance left fans in awe, with many taking to social media to celebrate his achievement.

“Absolutely dominating performance. I remember Neilesh being very sharp, but I don’t think anyone beats him if his next games are like this one,” one fan wrote on social media. Another added, “Neilesh was an absolute buzz-saw in this game, against good opponents. I see him going far.”

Vinjamuri’s precision and composure also drew admiration. “Neilesh was such an absolute BEAST tonight. He was so fast, smart, and stoic,” one viewer commented. Another remarked, “What an impressive game. What more could I say? Also, having a lock game was not on my bingo card.”

While Vinjamuri’s 33 correct answers were remarkable, they fell short of the Jeopardy! record. Ken Jennings and James Holzhauer hold the record with 44 correct responses in a single game. Jennings first achieved the feat on July 23, 2004, while Holzhauer matched it twice in 2019. Super-champ Matt Amodio came close with 43 correct answers on July 29, 2021.

With the tournament still underway, Vinjamuri remains a strong contender to break the record. Fans are eagerly watching to see if he can maintain his momentum in the semifinals. “Neilesh absolutely crushed it today, and I’d be super scared if I was facing him in the semifinals,” one viewer wrote. “That’s an insanely dominating performance against some very strong competition.”
