Jeopardy Wheel Of Fortune Game Show Streaming

LOS ANGELES, California — Two iconic game shows, Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, are set to expand their reach into the streaming market. Starting this fall, new episodes of both shows will be available on Peacock and Hulu, along with next-day streaming rights for fans, as announced by Sony Pictures Television on Tuesday.

This multi-year deal marks a significant moment, as it allows the two shows to be available online the day after their broadcast. Previously, episodes were only accessible via local television stations. This change comes amid growing recognition that audiences are increasingly turning to streaming services.

“We are thrilled to bring America’s favorite game shows to an even wider audience on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and Peacock,” said Keith Le Goy, chairman of Sony Pictures Television. He added that both shows have a long history of success on TV and look forward to providing fans with better access to their content.

The licensing agreements with Hulu, owned by Disney, and Peacock, owned by NBCUniversal, will also include older episodes, allowing viewers to enjoy past episodes on-demand. This is the first time that in-season episodes of both shows will stream online simultaneously with their broadcast airings.

This transition to streaming occurs while Sony is currently embroiled in a legal dispute with CBS over distribution rights to the two game shows. In October 2024, Sony filed a breach of contract lawsuit against CBS, alleging that CBS violated the terms regarding syndication and entered into unauthorized international distribution agreements. CBS responded with a countersuit, claiming it holds perpetual distribution rights to the shows.

In April 2025, a court briefly agreed to restore Sony’s distribution rights, but this was overturned by an appeals court in late May, allowing CBS to continue its distribution amidst ongoing litigation. The current streaming deal does not involve CBS.

Both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune continue to be among the most-watched syndicated shows in the United States, and this move to streaming platforms is likely to broaden their audience even further.
