NEW YORK, NY — Jeremy Jordan is set to return to the Broadway production of The Great Gatsby, stepping back into the role of Jay Gatsby on November 10 at the Broadway Theatre. Jordan, who originally took on the role when the musical opened in April 2024, is succeeding Ryan McCartan, who performed his final show on November 9.

Jordan’s return comes after a brief hiatus during which he led the limited run of Floyd Collins at Lincoln Center, a performance that earned him a 2025 Tony Award nomination. The announcement of Jordan’s return was celebrated on the production’s official Instagram, featuring a video of him and Aisha Jackson—who plays Daisy Buchanan—performing a mashup of “My Green Light” from the musical and Lorde’s “Green Light.”

The Great Gatsby’s current cast includes Michael Maliakel as Nick Carraway, Linedy Genao as Myrtle Wilson, Austin Colby as Tom Buchanan, Samantha Pauly as Jordan Baker, Charlie Pollock as George Wilson, and Eric Anderson as Meyer Wolfsheim. The ensemble also features performers like Alexis Hasbrouck and Curtis Holland, ensuring a vibrant performance.

Basing its storyline on F. Scott Fitzgerald‘s classic novel, The Great Gatsby tells the tragic tale of Jay Gatsby’s relentless pursuit of the lost love of his youth, Daisy Buchanan, against the backdrop of the Roaring ’20s. The musical features music and lyrics by Nathan Tysen and Jason Howland, alongside a book written by Kait Kerrigan. Marc Bruni directs with choreography by Dominique Kelley.

The production has been recognized for its exceptional quality, winning the 2024 Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical. With its stellar cast and creative team, The Great Gatsby continues to captivate audiences on Broadway. Tickets for the production are available through various channels.
