Jeremy Renner Celebrates Daughter Ava’s 12th Birthday with Heartfelt Tribute

LOS ANGELES, March 28, 2025 — Actor Jeremy Renner celebrated a special milestone on Friday, sharing a heartfelt tribute to mark his daughter Ava‘s 12th birthday. The Mayor of Kingstown star posted a black-and-white throwback photo of Ava as a baby on his Instagram account, reflecting on the profound bond they share.
In his emotional message, Renner expressed the changes Ava brought to his life. “At 12:12 you turned 12, Twelve years ago, My life forever changed – filled with a powerful godly love, a purposed life, full of a joy indescribable with words,” he wrote. He added, “Though you have blossomed into a beautiful 12-year-old today, you’ll always be my little bug.”
Renner continued with gratitude, thanking Ava for being his support during difficult times, saying, “Thank you for waiting for me and pulling me through my darkest times. You’ll always be my everything, my only thing, my number one!”
The actor shares Ava with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco. In previous interviews, Renner has discussed how the traumatic snowplow accident he endured in January 2023 impacted their relationship. “I became the kid for the first six months. My daughter had to take care of me,” he reflected on the ‘role reversal’ during his recovery.
He further mentioned, “There was something quite beautiful in that role reversal. She had to grow up in a lot of ways.” Renner noted the lessons on resilience he could impart to Ava as they navigated his recovery journey together.
In the aftermath of the accident, which resulted in the actor suffering 38 broken bones and significant chest trauma, he shared in an interview, “I don’t have a bad day anymore.” However, he also emphasized the importance of community support, saying, “As any parent knows, it takes a village.”
Renner reflected on his evolving role as a father as Ava grows more independent. “I really understand my place as her father. It is my duty to teach her how to love, how to be strong, how to overcome.” He added, “My love is deeper, my conversations with my daughter are more adult,” highlighting a shift from his earlier playful parenting style.
As Ava enters her teenage years, Renner expresses both pride and nostalgia. “I struggle to find the fun, goofy dad version that I was when she was 4 or 8,” he said, feeling the impact of his physical challenges on their adventures. “But she’s 11. Maybe I don’t need to.” Renner’s heartfelt tribute encapsulates a father’s love and the profound bond shared with his daughter as they navigate life’s challenges together.
