Jim Abrahams, the renowned writer-director behind some of the most iconic comedies of the last few decades, has passed away at the age of 80. Abrahams was a key figure in the comedic trio that included brothers Jerry and David Zucker, with whom he collaborated on a string of beloved films and TV shows.

Abrahams died of natural causes at his home in Santa Monica, as reported by his son Joseph. His career was marked by a series of groundbreaking comedies, including the cult hit “Kentucky Fried Movie” in 1977, which he wrote with the Zucker brothers and was directed by John Landis.
