Jodie Comer Stars In Survival Movie 'the End We Start From'

Jodie Comer, known for her acclaimed role as Villanelle in Killing Eve, continues to showcase her talent by leading the cast of the captivating survival film ‘The End We Start From.’ Adapted from Megan Hunter’s novel of the same name by screenwriter Alice Birch, the movie depicts the struggles of a new mother amidst an environmental crisis.

Comer has been garnering recognition for her performances in recent years. She received a BAFTA for her role in the pandemic television film Help and has also won an Olivier Award and a Tony for her one-woman play Prime Facie. Furthermore, she has made successful appearances in Hollywood films like The Last Duel and Free Guy.

The highly anticipated film, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and was part of the lineup at the London Film Festival, is set to hit UK cinemas on January 19, 2024. Unfortunately, the only way to watch it currently is through an exclusive theatrical release.

The star-studded cast includes not only Jodie Comer but also famous actors such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Katherine Waterston, Mark Strong, Joel Fry, Gina McKee, and Nina Sosanya. This ensemble of talent brings Hunter’s novel to life on the big screen.

‘The End We Start From’ tells the story of a young family torn apart by the chaos that ensues when London is submerged by floodwaters due to an ecological disaster. As the mother and her newborn strive to find their way home, the film beautifully captures the novelty and challenges of motherhood in the face of adversity.

As of now, the movie will only be available in cinemas, but there is a possibility it may be released on a streaming platform after a few months. Audiences eagerly await any updates on this front.
