Joe Rogan Backs Justin Baldoni in Legal Battle with Lively and Reynolds

LOS ANGELES, CA — Joe Rogan recently expressed his support for Justin Baldoni during a heated discussion about Baldoni’s ongoing legal dispute with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. In the latest episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” aired Saturday, Rogan critiqued the couple, stating they had ‘ruined their reputation’ by pursuing legal action against Baldoni.
Rogan, 57, referred to the couple’s actions as a significant misstep. ‘They f–ked up,’ he asserted, emphasizing that Ryan Reynolds is now attempting to distance himself from the lawsuit. ‘He’s trying to get out of it now,’ Rogan noted, suggesting that Reynolds and Lively might face consequences for their decision.
During the podcast, he and his guest, Brendan Schaub, discussed Baldoni’s allegations that Lively invited him into her trailer while she was pumping breast milk, contradicting her claim that he entered without her consent. ‘You literally have a text exchange back and forth,’ Rogan pointed out, highlighting that Baldoni has substantial evidence, or ‘receipts,’ to defend himself against the allegations.
Baldoni, 41, has countersued Lively and Reynolds for defamation and other claims after Lively accused him of harassment during the production of their 2024 film, “It Ends With Us.” The actor and filmmaker argues that Lively’s lawsuit is an abuse of the legal system, designed to silence him for raising his concerns.
In the legal proceedings, Lively’s legal team contends that Baldoni’s countersuit violates California laws meant to protect individuals who speak out about harassment. At a recent hearing, they characterized Baldoni’s legal action as ‘vengeful and rambling.’ Lively’s attorneys further claimed she was justified in making her allegations and that Baldoni’s response was merely retaliation.
While discussing the case, Rogan echoed concerns about the impact of fame on justice, noting that many individuals in Hollywood may be ‘too scared’ to confront Lively and Reynolds due to their A-list status. ‘Everyone is scared,’ he remarked, underscoring the potential intimidation factor that comes with celebrity.
Baldoni is suing Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane, claiming defamation and extortion. He seeks $250 million in damages based on allegations stemming from a New York Times article discussing Lively’s accusations against him. The timeline of events surrounding the case has garnered significant media attention, with both sides presenting starkly contrasting narratives.
In separate statements, Lively remains adamant that Baldoni’s actions constituted harassment, while Baldoni’s legal team stresses the importance of holding celebrities accountable for their statements. Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s attorney, criticized the ability of powerful figures to manipulate legal protections for their advantage.
The upcoming trial date for the case is set for March 2026, marking a significant moment in this high-profile legal battle.
