Cupertino, California – Apple announced today the most popular podcasts of 2025, with “The Joe Rogan Experience” taking the top spot in the U.S. Listeners can explore year-end charts directly on the New tab of the Apple Podcasts app until the end of the year.

The rankings celebrate shows that captivated audiences worldwide, with localized charts available in over 15 markets. A curated selection of standout podcasts, chosen by Apple’s editorial team, will also be featured. The celebration will conclude with the announcement of the Apple Podcasts Show of the Year on December 4.

This year’s top five shows include: n1. The Joe Rogan Experience n2. The Daily n3. The Mel Robbins Podcast n4. Crime Junkie n5. Dateline NBC. nNotably, “The Joe Rogan Experience” climbed from third place last year to reclaim the number one position.

Among the new shows, “Good Hang with Amy Poehler” and “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce” made significant impacts, ranking 7th and 8th respectively. The top series included “The Telepathy Tapes” and “The Binge Cases,” further showcasing a variety of genres in podcasting.

Apple’s data also revealed the most shared episodes of the year. The top episode was from “The Telepathy Tapes,” followed by significant episodes from “Crime Junkie” and “The Daily.” This diverse representation reflects both popular culture and current events.

Mel Robbins’ rise to the top illustrates her strong listener engagement, as she was absent from the previous year’s top 10 but secured the third spot this year.

In addition, Apple noted trends in podcast consumption, with comedy and news genres dominating the landscape. The company highlights podcasting’s continued growth and its importance as a platform for storytelling and discussion.
