John Barrowman Celebrity Sas Who Dares Wins

Actor John Barrowman, known for his role in the popular television series ‘Doctor Who‘, has exited the Channel 4 reality show ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ just 32 minutes after arriving at the base camp. The revelation was made during the broadcast of the show’s sixth series, which aired Sunday night.

The program, which is filmed in the south islands of New Zealand, features celebrities undergoing rigorous SAS winter warfare training. Barrowman, 57, joined the series hoping to showcase his resilience and dispel past controversies; however, he withdrew shortly after starting, stating, “I’m out.” The contestant declined medical assistance when offered by Mark “Billy” Billingham, an instructor on the show, affirming, “No… I’m done.”

In a voiceover, the show’s narrator highlighted Barrowman’s quick exit, noting, “After only 32 minutes on base, number 13 John is the first recruit to leave the course.”

On the show, Barrowman addressed previous allegations regarding his behavior on the sets of ‘Doctor Who’ and its spin-off ‘Torchwood.’ He commented on the reported incidents, saying, “The press made the allegation that I was going around putting my dick on everybody’s shoulders. Having that happen to me ruined me, but this course is going to help me push through this and I want people to see the kind of person that I really am.”

The ongoing series sees a variety of public figures participating, including Rachel Johnson, sister of former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, television personality Pete Wicks, former Olympic gymnast Ellie Downie, and comedian Tez Ilyas. Also competing are professional basketball player and ‘Love Island’ star Ovie Soko, world heavyweight champion boxer Lani Daniels, and other celebrities from various backgrounds.

Another participant, Bobby Norris, most known for his role on ‘The Only Way Is Essex,’ shared his personal struggles with phobias and the impact of online abuse. Norris stated, “I had fears and phobias before, but I think that is the nature of my job, a lot of people get online abuse and trolls and stuff,” further describing past experiences with distressing digital content and his decision to move away from cosmetic alterations.

The episodes of ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ are scheduled to air on Channel 4 every Sunday and Monday at 9 PM, with the series intending to challenge and transform its high-profile participants.
