John Krasinski Expresses Interest in Office Spinoff The Paper

The Paper will center on a struggling newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, called The Truth Teller. Krasinski discussed the project in a recent interview, expressing how thrilled he is about its concept. ‘I’m excited to see what they do with it. It’s such an amazing idea,’ he said. ‘If Greg [Daniels] is behind it, we’re all in. And you can’t get a better actor than [Gleeson] to take on the mantle. He’s going to be so perfect for it.’

When asked if he would return as Jim Halpert, Krasinski was quick to respond affirmatively. ‘Done!’ he exclaimed. ‘If they ask me, I’m in.’ His enthusiasm suggests a strong possibility for a cameo, which could generate significant buzz for the spinoff.

Meanwhile, Steve Carell, who played Michael Scott, seems less inclined to return. He has stated that while he loves the new project, there’s little reason for his character to make an appearance. However, his endorsement of Gleeson adds to the anticipation.
