Legend noted a noticeable shift in West’s behavior after the rapper’s mother passed in 2007, stating, “His descent started then and seems to have accelerated recently.” Legend’s observations pointed toward a deeper concern regarding West’s mental health and the impact of personal loss on his public persona.
