John Stamos’ Son Billy Dives into Acting Career

LOS ANGELES, California — Actor John Stamos shared exciting news about his son, Billy, who is following in his father’s footsteps to pursue acting. During the 54th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction, he revealed that Billy’s first performance was in a community theater play.

“He did ‘Beetlejuice.’ The sandworm,” Stamos said. Though he had reservations about his son entering the entertainment industry, he acknowledged Billy’s passion for acting. “I didn’t want him to go into acting, but he loves it!”

Stamos took Billy to see actor Darren Criss perform recently. The proud father observed, “He sat there and did not move,” showing how captivated his son was by the performance. After the show, Billy got a chance to go backstage, which left a lasting impression on him.

“He walked onto the stage and started spinning around and ran through the theater,” Stamos recalled. “I think it’s going to be his calling.” John Stamos, 61, and his wife, Caitlin McHugh Stamos, welcomed Billy in 2018. The couple announced they were expecting their first child just two months before their wedding.
