John Travolta Makes Surprise Visit to Florida Italian Restaurant and Other Recent Appearances
Over the weekend, Hollywood star John Travolta made a surprise visit to Via Canaletto, a cozy Italian restaurant in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. The 70-year-old actor, fresh from a trip to Paris for the Olympics, stopped by the restaurant on Saturday night. Via Canaletto, located in a two-story 1923 home, has become a favorite of Travolta’s since it opened last year. The restaurant’s owner, Leon Geller, revealed that Travolta has been a regular and that the two have known each other for over a decade through mutual friends in Ocala, where Travolta has a home.
Travolta gave the restaurant a heads-up about his visit and enjoyed a meal that included swordfish puttanesca, lasagna, and bucatini with meat sauce. He was seated at a corner table and was described as being in a great mood and very personable. A photo of Travolta with the chef and owner was posted on the restaurant’s Instagram page, garnering positive comments from fans.
In other news, a private airport community in Florida, where John Travolta owns a home, has been listed for $15.5 million. Jumbolair Aviation Estates, located near Ocala, features a 2300-meter-long main runway capable of accommodating large aircraft like Boeing 747s. Travolta and his late wife Kelly Preston purchased a lot in this community in 2001 and built a home where he could park his Boeing 707 jetliner. The property includes various amenities such as a separate grass runway, a mansion, and a conference center.
Additionally, Travolta recently made another unexpected visit, this time to the Uptown Grill in La Salle, Illinois. The owners and patrons of the diner were left stunned by the surprise appearance, describing it as feeling like being “struck by Grease lightning”).
