Jonas Brothers Concert Tour News

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Jonas Brothers have announced cancellations for summer concerts in six U.S. cities as part of their “Jonas20: Living the Dream Tour.” Fans received emails from Ticketmaster and notices on the band’s Instagram on Friday.

The concerts, originally scheduled for stadiums, will now take place in smaller arenas or amphitheaters. Despite the changes, shows will still occur on the same dates. Fans must purchase new tickets to attend these events. Full refunds will automatically be issued to current ticketholders at their point of purchase.

The affected cities include Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Detroit, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and the Chicago area. In Los Angeles, the concert on Sept. 6 at Dodger Stadium will now be held at Intuit Dome, also on the same date. This follows a similar path taken by Linkin Park, which recently canceled its Dodger Stadium concert.

Additional venue changes include: Washington, D.C.’s concert moving to Jiffy Lube Live from Nationals Park on Aug. 12; Philadelphia’s performance moving from Citizens Bank Park to Freedom Mortgage Pavilion on Aug. 14; Chicago’s show shifting from Wrigley Field to Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Aug. 26; Detroit’s concert relocating from Comerica Park to Little Caesars Arena on Aug. 28; and Dallas’ show moving from Globe Life Field to Dos Equis Pavilion on Aug. 31.

Ticketing information for priority access to new shows will be sent via Ticketmaster accounts, branded as a “Past Purchaser presale,” starting Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time.

The band’s tour will still kick off at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Aug. 10 and will include a performance at Fenway Park in Boston on Aug. 23. Most of the 43-concert itinerary was always set for arenas.

In a statement on Instagram, the Jonas Brothers expressed enthusiasm for the tour while apologizing for the venue changes. They emphasized their commitment to providing a great experience for fans, stating, “Every decision we make is with you in mind, ensuring the best experience for our incredible fans.”

On the same day as the announcement, the Jonas Brothers released a new album, “Live From the O2 Arena.” Their upcoming studio album, “Greetings From Your Hometown,” is set to debut on Aug. 8, just before the tour begins.
