LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Jonas Brothers took to social media on February 12 to share an exciting announcement about their future music plans, putting to rest fans’ fears of another breakup.
The trio, composed of Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, addressed their fans in a heartfelt letter commemorating their 20-year journey together, which has included a breakup and subsequent reunion. Opening their post with, ‘To our incredible fans,’ the message initially sparked concern among followers, who feared it was indicative of a split.
The band reminisced about their beginnings, writing, ‘It’s been 20 years since we started this journey together. To us, it feels like just yesterday we were loading up our family mini-van with a couple of guitars and copies of It's About Time CDs, en route to an afternoon performance at a local mall to play for anyone who would listen.’
Reflecting on their early career, the brothers emphasized their gratitude towards fans, stating, ‘In the years that followed, you’ve given us a thousand lifetimes of incredible memories.’ They noted the ups and downs they have experienced together, saying, ‘Together, we have celebrated wins, made mistakes, overcome obstacles and grieved losses. Put simply: we’ve all grown up together.’
Fans showed mixed reactions in the comments; some expressed relief upon realizing the letter was not a farewell. One fan remarked, ‘To whoever was too lazy to read his letter: No, they are not splitting; they’re gonna celebrate their music career with something special! You’re welcome.’
The Jonas Brothers reported that 2025 will be a ‘year of music,’ teasing upcoming releases including new music from each brother, a live concert album, and a soundtrack. Additionally, Nick is set to return to Broadway this spring for The Last Five Years, while the group is nearing completion of a holiday movie scheduled for release this fall.
In their conclusion, the band wrote, ‘Expect a lot more announcements over the coming days and weeks. From the bottom of our hearts: thank you! Here’s to the next 20 years, and here’s to doing it together. The best is yet to come.’ They closed the post with a heart emoji.
The Jonas Brothers originally disbanded in 2013, announcing their reunion in 2019. Their most recent concert tour took place from August 2023 until October 2024, further solidifying their return to the music scene.
As they prepare to celebrate two decades in the industry, the brothers look forward to new creative ventures while maintaining a strong connection with their fanbase.
