ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Jordan Kyrou will rejoin the St. Louis Blues lineup on Saturday as they face the Seattle Kraken at Enterprise Center at 6 p.m. This comes after Kyrou was sat out during the team’s 3-0 victory against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday night.

Blues Head Coach Jim Montgomery made the decision to scratch Kyrou for that game, citing a need for accountability. ‘Everybody has a role and responsibility on our team. When you don’t live up to your standard, you risk the chance of coming out of the lineup,’ Montgomery explained. He added that Kyrou showed up in good spirits, prompting his return to the top line alongside Brayden Schenn and Robert Thomas.

The Blues are eager to build on their recent success after a challenging seven-game stretch. They managed to secure two wins in their last three games, including a crucial victory against Buffalo. ‘We’ve got to keep building off this win and make sure we come out strong,’ Montgomery said ahead of Saturday’s matchup.

While Kyrou returns, Oskar Sundqvist and Logan Mailloux will remain out of the lineup. Joel Hofer, who earned a shutout against the Sabres, is confirmed to start in goal. ‘He got a shutout, he played great, and he deserves the opportunity to get us going on a roll,’ Montgomery said.

The Kraken are gearing up for back-to-back road games this weekend. They aim to maintain a strong position in the standings, having earned points in 10 of their first 13 games. The matchup against the Blues promises to be an exciting one as both teams look to solidify their positions in the Central Division.
