Juan David Tejada and Aida Victoria Merlano Spark Social Media Feud
BOGOTÁ, Colombia — The recent breakup between Colombian influencer Aida Victoria Merlano and businessman Juan David Tejada has become a hot topic on social media, igniting a flurry of comments and reactions.
Tejada, often referred to as the ‘King of Agriculture,’ took to his social media platforms to challenge Merlano’s public statements regarding their split. He stated, “It ended, and not precisely for what she says,” suggesting underlying reasons for their separation.
While sitting on his horse, Tejada shared a post that highlighted his perspective on their breakup. He interpreted song lyrics that echoed his feelings, saying, “I won’t let my life end because of a bad love that left a thousand wounds; I prefer to return to the bar again.” He further insinuated infidelity as a key factor, countering, “I was faithful, but she was not. In the end, I am not the one who lost.”
Aida Victoria Merlano soon responded via her Instagram stories, employing irony to address Tejada’s hints. She wrote, “What a hassle,” and added an audio message advising him to “Go to sleep, go to sleeep.” Her humorous tone displayed her discomfort with the situation.
Merlano also tapped into the sentiment of her followers, sarcastically suggesting, “If we organize outside Tigo, they’ll cut his plan,” referring to a local telecommunications provider.
The public reaction has been polarized. Some criticized Tejada for reigniting the controversy, while others defended his right to voice his side of the story. One comment noted, “This fight is better than the one between Andrea Valdiri and Yina Calderón,” while another pointed out that “if he’s saying something, it’s probably because she didn’t behave well.”
Merlano, a prominent Barranquilla content creator, has been under scrutiny after posting pictures showcasing her body just four months after giving birth. Her images stirred debates among followers, with many expressing doubt about the authenticity of her post-pregnancy recovery, suggesting cosmetic surgery or digital enhancements.
In response to the speculation, Merlano asserted that her body transformation resulted from discipline and healthy habits rather than surgery. She stated, “I have not done any aesthetic procedures. I wore postpartum girdles, did hypopressive exercises, and maintained a dairy-free, sugar-free diet, which helped improve my figure.”
Furthermore, Merlano shared her personal journey, revealing that comments from Tejada about her femininity motivated her to focus on both her physical and emotional well-being after the birth of her son, Emiliano. She emphasized the importance of realistic expectations regarding postpartum bodies and acknowledged that recovery is possible with dedication, but noted that a body will never return exactly to its pre-pregnancy state.
