Junior H Coachella Performance 2025

INDIO, Calif. — Junior H, a prominent figure in the regional Mexican music scene, is set to take the stage as a headliner at the 2025 Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Just a year after debuting at the event as Peso Pluma, the artist known for hits such as “Lady Gaga,” “Ella,” and “Tres Botellas” will perform on April 13 and 20.

“It’s an honor, something beautiful to represent Mexico and the genre and share my music with the people who enjoy it, although the goal is to win new fans,” Junior H told Billboard Español. He expressed his excitement, stating, “Coachella is a platform where artists from many countries perform, so I am very excited. It’s definitely a challenge and a great opportunity.”

Despite indicating that there will be no guest appearances and that his set will be shorter than usual, Junior H promised to deliver the “best of my repertoire.” The artist has made waves on the Billboard Hot 100 with tracks like “Y lloro,” “Fin de semana,” and “Bipolar.”

Over the past five years, Junior H, whose real name is Antonio Herrera, has built a solid career since being discovered by the independent label Rancho Humilde based in Los Angeles. He now heads his own label, Sad Boyz Entertainment.

Known as “La Letra Muda,” he has significant experience performing for large audiences. In May 2023, he made headlines by selling out the Plaza México in Mexico City, which accommodates 50,000 people, as an emerging artist from social media and streaming platforms. “That moment was truly the beginning, when we realized we had real fans, not just followers. It was impressive,” he said. “Then we moved to Foro Sol, which was beautiful. Subsequently, we reached large venues in the United States, so I am infinitely grateful.”

With the concept behind his 2023 album, *Sad Boyz 4 Life II*, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Latin Albums and Top Regional Mexican Albums charts, Junior H quickly connected with a young audience that knew him as a corridos tumbados artist but discovered deeper and more sentimental themes in his new style. The 23-year-old was born in Guanajuato, the same land as songwriter José Alfredo Jiménez, meaning ranchera music was part of his upbringing. As a teenager, he was influenced by artists such as Edén Muñoz, with whom he fulfilled a dream a couple of years ago by collaborating on the song “Abcdario.”

Recently, the group Máximo Grado, known for corridos, released an album titled *Somos Leyenda*, featuring Junior H. “Since I was a kid, I have been a fan of them. The song I participated in, ‘El hombre del equipo,’ was one I sang during my live sessions during the pandemic,” he recalled. “[The group leader] Christian Félix saw me and invited me to join. I feel fortunate to have achieved things I never imagined. That is why I want to help other starting artists through my record label.”

Junior H will now balance his singing and songwriting career with his role as CEO of Sad Boyz Entertainment. His first talent is Gael Valenzuela, whom he is supporting on a collaboration released on April 10, titled “El Chore.”
