Jurassic World Rebirth Runtime Announced Ahead of 2025 Release

LOS ANGELES, CA — The highly anticipated film Jurassic World Rebirth is set to hit theaters on July 2, 2025, with a runtime of 2 hours and 14 minutes, making it the second-longest installment in the franchise’s history. Directed by Gareth Edwards, this seventh entry introduces new characters played by Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali.
Rebirth follows the story of Zora Bennett, portrayed by Johansson, who teams up with paleontologist Dr. Henry Loomis, played by Bailey, on a covert mission involving a pharmaceutical company. The film aims to blend thrilling adventures with complex character dynamics, bringing fresh narratives to the beloved dinosaur saga.
The new installment’s runtime positions it just behind the record-holder Jurassic World Dominion, which clocked in at 2 hours and 27 minutes. Despite the longer runtime, the franchise has maintained consistently similar durations, with most films averaging just over two hours. Only Jurassic Park III deviates significantly at 1 hour and 32 minutes.
With a loaded cast, Jurassic World Rebirth features newcomers alongside established stars and promises to deliver engaging action and visual excitement for fans. Although it follows a successful trilogy that has grossed over $1 billion worldwide, it faces competition from other summer blockbusters like Superman and The Fantastic Four: First Step.
Universal Pictures appears optimistic that the film will attract audiences, especially given the holiday weekend release. The studio hopes that nostalgia for the franchise, along with fresh storytelling, will motivate fans to return to theaters.
As anticipation builds for Jurassic World Rebirth, many are curious to see how the film will perform both critically and commercially when it debuts next summer.
