Kali Uchis Releases Blissful Album ‘Sincerely’ on May 9, 2025

Los Angeles, California — Kali Uchis captivates listeners with her new album, ‘Sincerely,’ set to be released on May 9, 2025. Following her critically acclaimed Spanish-language album, ‘Orquideas,’ this English-language follow-up offers an even more blissful experience amidst a chaotic world.
The album opens with enchanting strings and harp in the song ‘Heaven Is a Home…,’ where Uchis invites, “Hey, could you quiet down?” Inspired by ’60s girl groups, the track features layered backing vocals that create an ethereal atmosphere, merging classic R&B with dream pop.
While ‘Orquideas’ explored various Latin styles, ‘Sincerely’ presents a more focused sound. Modern influences are evident in “Silk Lingerie,” with its subtle programmed drums, while breakbeats energize Uchis’s soothing vocals in ‘Angels All Around Me.’ Retro elements are delicately intertwined throughout, particularly in the doo-wop-influenced track ‘All I Can Say‘.
Uchis reflects on the theme of stability in her music. In ‘Lose My Cool,’ she identifies as an old-school romantic, intertwining traditional love themes with a sense of fragility stemming from the unpredictable outside world. Lyrics from “Sunshine & Rain” pose a thought-provoking question: “Whatever happened to the human race?/Did everyone’s minds get melted and deranged?”
Notably, ‘Sincerely’ showcases Uchis solely, without any guest artists, allowing her artistic vision to shine through. The album’s measured tempos and heavy reverb create a unified mood, transforming themes of heartbreak into joy. The concluding track solidifies the album’s message that love’s comfort is both powerful and essential.
